ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT
The Department of Mathematics was established in the year 1966 and grown over the years with PG programme in 1999 and Ph.D. in 2010. The Department is constantly striving to create young women with the quest for mathematical knowledge, logical and analytical thinking over the five decades of its existence, it has also attained the pinnacle of excellence in research. The Department of Mathematics is well known for its academic endeavors, full-fledged research development and intellectual co-curricular activities. The syllabus is exclusively designed on par with the current job trends, incorporated with value-added courses and is being updated periodically with utmost care. The Department provides the students with an innovative and dynamic learning environment for better understanding of the subject. Our Faculty members have extensive experience in teaching and research. A conceptual understanding of the subject and its applications is imparted to the students. The faculty members are very much dedicated to elevate the skills of students by conducting various activities like symposium, seminars, webinars, workshops and conferences. The Department is well-equipped with ICT class rooms and a Math Laboratory with MATLAB2019b. The students bring accolades to the department by participating in various intercollegiate academic competitions, extension activities and sports. The Alumnae of the Department are employed in high profile jobs such as Professors in colleges, CEO of firms, Government Officials and Research Associates abroad.

FACULTY PROFILE
Aided Faculty
Dr. S. KASTHURI currently serves as an Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Mathematics, Auxilium College (Autonomous), Vellore. She has 33 Years of teaching experience. She has completed her Under Graduate in Govt. Women’s College, Kumbakonam and Post Graduate in Govt. Men’s College, Kumbakonam. She obtained M.Phil. from Annamalai University, Chidambaram and B.Ed. from Madras University and her Ph.D. in the year 2015 from Thiruvalluvar University, Serkadu. Her research interests include ‘High performance in Replacement Models in Reliability Theory’. She has published papers in International Journals and conferences.
Dr. Sabarmahti A. currently serves as an Assistant Professor (Senior) at the Department of Mathematics, Auxilium College, Vellore. She has 20 years of teaching experience. She served as a chairperson and an invited speaker in national/international conferences and delivered guest lectures in various academic events. She completed her UG degree at Auxilium College, Vellore in the year 2001, she actively involved in sports and represented for Madras University Football and Kho-Kho teams. She acquired Gold Medal in PG degree at Stella Maris College, Chennai in the year 2003. She completed M. Phil degree at Loyola College, Chennai in the year 2004. She obtained her Ph.D. in the year 2015 from VIT University and obtained the Research Award for three consecutive years. Her research areas are Mathematical Modelling, Nonlinear Differential Equations, Mathematical Biology and Mathematical Epidemiology. She has published papers in various international/national journals & conferences. She is currently guiding 4 Ph.D. scholars and one scholar has successfully completed the Ph.D. degree under her guidance. She is a RAJYAPURASKAR Guide and being an Advanced Ranger Leader guides the Rangers Unit of Auxilium College, Vellore. She is a coordinator of Student Induction Programme.
Mrs. A. Amalarathinam serves as an Assistant Professor of Mathematics and the Dean of Sciences at Auxilium College (Autonomous), Vellore. She has 8 years of teaching experience. She completed her B. Sc. in the year 2012, M. Sc. in the year 2014 and M. Phil. in the year 2015 in Mathematics at Auxilium College (Autonomous), Vellore. She cleared TNSET in the year 2016. She is currently pursuing Ph. D. at Thiruvalluvar University. Her area of interest includes Differential Equations, Solid Geometry, Numerical Analysis, Operations Research, Business Mathematics and Business Statistics.
Dr. J. Jesintha Rosline is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics, Auxilium College (Autonomous), Vellore. She has 10 years of teaching experience. She received her Bachelor of Science in the year 2006 from Stella Maris College, Chennai. She completed her Master of Science in 2008 and Master of Philosophy in 2009 from Loyola College, Chennai. She received her Ph.D. in 2016 from the University of Madras. She did her Ph.D. under the JRF – MANF and also received the Best Researcher Award for her Research Work. Her research interests are Fuzzy Mathematics, Decision Making, Graph Theory and Fuzzy Graph Theory. She has published many papers both in the National and International Journals. She is currently guiding Ph.D. scholars in the area of Fuzzy Mathematics and Fuzzy Graph Theory.
Sr. Anthoni Amali A currently serves as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Mathematics, Auxilium College (Autonomous), Vellore. She completed her B.Sc. Mathematics at Auxilium College (Autonomous), Vellore, B.Ed. at Auxilium College, Raghunathapuram, Thanjavur, and then M.Sc., M.Phil. Mathematics at Loyola College, Chennai, Ph.D. Mathematics at Auxilium College, (Autonomous), Vellore in the year 2023. Her research area is Fuzzy set and Fuzzy graph theory. She has published papers in the international journals and conferences. Currently, she is also serving as the Staff in charge of the Hostel.
Management/Self-supporting Faculty
Dr. L. Sujatha is an Assistant Professor and Head of the PG and Research Department of Mathematics, Auxilium College (Autonomous), Vellore. She has 21 years of teaching experience. She completed her B.Sc. & M.Sc. Mathematics at Holy Cross College (Autonomous), Tiruchirappalli in 1995 & 1997 respectively. She completed her M.Phil. Mathematics at Madurai Kamaraj University, Madurai in the year 2002. She obtained her Ph.D. degree in Mathematics in the year 2017 from Thiruvalluvar University. Her area of specialization is Fuzzy set theory and its applications. She has published 35 research articles in reputed International/National Journals and presented 25 papers in International/National Conferences. She organized 10 International/National programs. She served as a technical program committee member of international conferences, editorial board member of the journal, advisory committee member of the journal and conference, reviewer of the journals, chairperson of the conferences, and resource person for various programs. She has guided 18 M.Phil. scholars and currently guiding 1 Ph.D. scholar. She is a Co-ordinator of STP, IIT Bombay for Auxilium College, Vellore.
Ms. Divya V. currently serves as an Assistant Professor at the PG and Research Department of Mathematics, Auxilium College (Autonomous). She has 10 years of teaching experience. She completed her B.Sc., M.Sc., M. Phil (Mathematics) at Auxilium College (Autonomous), Vellore and B.Ed. in N.D.M.College, Vellore. currently pursuing her Ph.D (Mathematics) at Auxilium College (Autonomous) affiliated to Thiruvalluvar University, Vellore. Her research interests include Graph Theory and Fuzzy Mathematics. She also serves as a Staff Secretary.
Ms. Aruna G. currently serves as an Assistant Professor at the PG and Research Department of Mathematics, Auxilium College (Autonomous), Vellore. She has 8 years of teaching experience. She completed her B.Sc., M.Sc., and M.Phil., (Mathematics) at Auxilium College (Autonomous), Vellore. She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Auxilium College (Autonomous), affiliated to with Thiruvalluvar University, Vellore. Her research interests include the implementation of Fuzzy sets in Decision-making Analysis, Medical diagnosis, Neural network, and in Operation research. She has published papers in international journals and conferences. She also serves as the director of the Health and Fine Arts Club.
Ms. Lakshmi bai R. currently serves as an Assistant Professor at the PG and Research Department of Mathematics, Auxilium College (Autonomous), Vellore. She has 8 years 6 months of teaching experience. She completed her UG, PG and M.Phil., Degrees in Muthurangam Govt. Arts & Science College, Vellore. Her research area is Symmetries in Differential Equations. She also serves as a Dean of Student Welfare.
Ms. Priya P. currently serves as an Assistant Professor at the PG and Research Department of Mathematics, Auxilium College (Autonomous). She has 6 years of teaching experience. She completed her B.Sc., M.Sc., and M. Phil (Mathematics) at Auxilium College (Autonomous), Vellore. currently pursuing her Ph.D (Mathematics) at Auxilium College (Autonomous) affiliated to Thiruvalluvar University, Vellore. Her research interests include fractal and fractional differential equations, Mathematical modeling, Neural Networks, Numerical Analysis, Stability analysis, Optimal and adaptive control analysis,and Bifurcation analysis. She has published papers in international journals and conferences. She also serves as a director of Health and fine arts Club.
Dr. Yuvarani S currently serves as an Assistant Professor in PG and Research Department of Mathematics, Auxilium College (Autonomous), Vellore. She has 6 years of teaching experience. She completed her B.Sc Mathematics and M.Sc. Mathematics at Auxilium College (Autonomous), Vellore. She completed her Ph.D in the year 2019 from VIT, Vellore. Her research interests include Retrial queues and Preemptive priority retrial queues. She has published many papers in international journals and conferences.
Ms. Regis Velankanni J. currently serves as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Mathematics, Auxilium College. She has 4 years of teaching experience in Schools and 3 years of teaching experience in Auxilium College. She completed her B.Sc. in the year 2014 at Auxilium College, Vellore and acquired M.sc in the year 2016 and M.Phil. in the year 2017 from Stella Maris College, Chennai. She obtained her B. Ed. in the year 2020 from SRM College of Education, Vaniyambadi. She serves as a NSS Programme Officer and a Red Ribbon Club Programmer Officer.
