ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

 

DEPARTMENT OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION

The Department of Business Administration is celebrating its 25th anniversary! The undergraduate programme was reinstated in 1997, with the vision to groom young women into executives to meet the Global needs of the business era. It has witnessed continued growth and success. A lot has changed over the past years, but the rigor and quality of our academics has remained constant. Our students continue to push the boundaries of business and take on leadership roles in different capacities. As we reflect on the past 25 years, we also turn our eyes to the future. Every student who has come through our doors has had an impact on the history of the department. We eagerly await what the next 25 years and beyond will bring as the legacy of the Department of Business Administration continues.
 

BBA (HOSPITAL ADMINISTRATION)

As a part of diversification, the Department began a separate programme in collaboration with Christian Medical College, Vellore in the year 2017. The 5-year-old programme which was started to integrate administration in the healthcare sector has successfully produced 168 undergraduate candidates.
 

MASTER OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION

This year marks the completion of a decade in the Master of Business Administration programme in Auxilium campus. The programme was started in the year 2012 to empower the young women especially from the rural background. It focuses on capacity building combined with competence and character, and to help them achieve a self-sustained development – a distinctive mark of managerial caliber, so that they can lead a life with integrity, vision, determination and social responsibility. It inculcates values that build human relationship through respect and understanding, igniting in the students a passion to work with commitment and dedication and thus making a difference in the competing global scenario.
 

RESEARCH STUDIES

The Department started its research programmes in the year 2017 for M.Phil. and Ph.D. in Management Studies. The Department has produced six Ph.D. scholars, four under the guidance of Dr. Beulah Suresh and two under the guidance of Dr.S.Renuga Devi. Currently there are eleven research scholars carrying out their research work.

FACULTY PROFILE

Dr. Beulah Suresh is currently the Head and Assistant Professor in the Department of Business Administration at Auxilum College (Autonomous) in Vellore. With 21 years and 5 months of teaching and research experience, she has significantly contributed to the department's expansion from offering the UG program to the Ph.D. program. Her area of specialization includes Marketing and Human Resource. Dr. Beulah Suresh has guided four Ph.D. scholars and three M. Phil scholars, with four Ph.D. scholars currently under her guidance. She also serves as a Guest Faculty at APCA (Academy of Prisons and Correctional Administration) in Vellore and at Christian Medical College and Hospital in Vellore, handling classes for MHA students. Additionally, she is a corporate trainer for BHEL Ranipet, PA Footwear Chennai & Ranipet, and was selected by the Tamil Nadu Police Department for the Police Wellbeing Programme.

Dr. Preethi Prabhakaran currently serves as Assistant Professor and the Head Department of BBA Hospital Administration, Auxilium College (Autonomous), Vellore. She has9 years of teaching experience. She completed her B.B.A at Auxilium College, Vellore which was affiliated to Thiruvalluvar University then, and acquired M.B.A from Manonmaniam Sundarnar University, Thirunelveli. She completed her M.Phil. from SCSVMV University, Kancheepuram. She obtained her Ph.D. in the year 2022 from Thiruvalluvar University. Her research interests include OrganizationalBehavior, Personality Development, Emotional Intelligence. She has published papers in international journals and conferences and participated in various workshops, seminars and FDPs.

 
 

Dr. S. Renuga Devi serves as an Assistant Professor and Head of the Department of Business Administration at Auxilium College (Autonomous) in Vellore. With 17 years of teaching experience in both UG and PG levels and 7 years of research experience, she holds an extensive academic background, having completed M.Com, M.B.A., M.Phil., Ph.D., PGDCA, and SET C&M. Dr. Renuga Devi has successfully guided 2 Ph.D. scholars and is currently guiding 3 more Ph.D. candidates. Notably, she authored a book on Principles of Marketing in 2023 and has presented and published 35 papers in national and international journals.

 
 

Ms. Ruth Mary is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Business Administration at Auxilium College Vellore. With 14 years of teaching experience (14 years in UG and 9 years in PG), she holds an MBA and is currently pursuing her Ph.D from Thiruvalluvar University under the guidance of Dr. S Renuga Devi. Her area of specialization is in Human Resource Management. Ms. Mary was honored with a Gold Medal in her MBA from Mother Teresa Women's University, Kodaikanal, in 2009. She was the School Topper in the English language paper during her 12th Standard at DAV Public School (CBSE), Bhandaridah, Jharkhand. Additionally, she has held the position of Deans of Arts from the academic year 2022 and has actively contributed as an organizing committee member for various conferences, seminars, and events. She has also contributed to publications in both National and International journals and conferences.

 
 

Dr. L. Bhuvaneswari serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Business Administration at Auxilium College in Vellore. With 9 years and 4 months of teaching experience, she completed her BBA at University of Madras, obtained an MBA from Thiruvalluvar University, and earned her Ph.D. in 2022 from Thiruvalluvar University. Her research interests encompass financial awareness among small vendors and the effect on fintech service. Dr. Bhuvaneswari has contributed to publications in international journals and conferences.

 
 

Dr. M. Balapriya serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Business Administration at Auxilium College (Autonomous) in Vellore. With 15 years of teaching experience, she completed her BBA at Thiruvalluvar University, acquired an MBA from Anna University, and obtained her Ph.D. in 2021 from Bharathiar University. Her research interests revolve around "Service Quality Gaps And Its Impact On Customer Satisfaction Towards E-Banking Services in Public Sector Banks." Dr. Balapriya has contributed to publications in international journals and conferences.

 
 

Ms. S. Umamageswari currently serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Business Administration at Auxilium College in Vellore. With 7 years of teaching experience, she completed her M.B.A. at Vellore Engineering College (VEC, now VIT) and acquired an M.Phil. from Periyar University, Salem. She passed the State Eligibility Test (SET) in 2017 and is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in the field of Human Resource Management. Ms. Umamageswari has contributed to publications in international journals and conferences.

 
 

Ms. Sa. Sripriya currently serves as Assistant Professor in the Department of Business Administration, Auxilium College (Autonomous), Vellore. She has 8 years of teaching experience. She completed her B.Com at Madras University and acquired MBA in Finance from Easwari Engineering College, Chennai. She has cleared SET in the year 2016 and NET in 2020. She is currently doing research in working capital management

 

Dr. S. Uma Mageswari, a vibrant individual with a positive attitude and a result-oriented approach, currently serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Business Administration. She has more than 15 years of experience in academics and obtained her Ph.D. from AMET University in 2016. Dr. Uma completed her MBA from Mother Teresa Women’s University, Kodaikanal, and holds a Diploma in Training & Development from ISTD, New Delhi. Her area of specialization includes HR.

 
 

Ms. Dhivya Bharathi D currently serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Business Administration at Auxilium College (Autonomous) in Gandhi Nagar, Vellore. With 7 years of teaching experience, she completed her M.B.A at C. Abdul Hakeem College of Engineering & Technology. Known for her interactive teaching style, she incorporates real-world examples to make complex topics accessible to her students. She has participated in numerous Faculty Development Programs, Training Programs, Webinars, and completed Online Courses.

 
 

Dr. Rajeswari P is currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Business Administration at Auxilium College (Autonomous) in Vellore. With 12 years and 8 months of teaching experience, she completed her BBA and MBA from Valliammal College for Women affiliated to Madras University. She acquired her M.Phil from Madurai Kamaraj University and earned her Ph.D. in 2021 from Auxilium College (Autonomous). Her research interests include Human Resource Management and Marketing Management. Dr. Rajeswari has published 20 research papers in international journals and conferences, receiving the Best Paper Award six times from various national and international conferences.

 
 

Dr.K.Chandhana holds the position of Assistant Professor and has 1 year and 8 months of teaching experience. She is qualified with an MBA and Ph.D., specializing in Human Resource Management and Marketing.

 
 

Ms. Sathiya.R is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Business Administration. With 3 years of teaching experience, she completed her M.C.A. from K.S.Rangasamy College of Technology at Anna University. Her research interests include cloud computing and networks, grid computing, machine learning, and multivariate SPSS. She has presented papers in conferences.
