ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT
The Department of Mathematics was established in the year 1966 and grown over the years with PG programme in 1999 and Ph.D. in 2010. The Department is constantly striving to create young women with the quest for mathematical knowledge, logical and analytical thinking over the five decades of its existence, it has also attained the pinnacle of excellence in research. The Department of Mathematics is well known for its academic endeavors, full-fledged research development and intellectual co-curricular activities. The syllabus is exclusively designed on par with the current job trends, incorporated with value-added courses and is being updated periodically with utmost care. The Department provides the students with an innovative and dynamic learning environment for better understanding of the subject. Our Faculty members have extensive experience in teaching and research. A conceptual understanding of the subject and its applications is imparted to the students. The faculty members are very much dedicated to elevate the skills of students by conducting various activities like symposium, seminars, webinars, workshops and conferences. The Department is well-equipped with ICT class rooms and a Math Laboratory with MATLAB2019b. The students bring accolades to the department by participating in various intercollegiate academic competitions, extension activities and sports. The Alumnae of the Department are employed in high profile jobs such as Professors in colleges, CEO of firms, Government Officials and Research Associates abroad.

FACULTY PROFILE
Aided Faculty
Dr. S. KASTHURI currently serves as an Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Mathematics, Auxilium College (Autonomous), Vellore. She has 35 Years of teaching experience. She has completed her Under Graduate in Govt. Women’s College, Kumbakonam and Post Graduate in Govt. Men’s College, Kumbakonam. She obtained M.Phil. from Annamalai University, Chidambaram and B.Ed. from Madras University and her Ph.D. in the year 2015 from Thiruvalluvar University, Serkadu. Her research interests include ‘High performance in Replacement Models in Reliability Theory’. She published papers in International Journals and conferences.
Dr. Sabarmahti A. currently serves as an Assistant Professor (Senior) at the Department of Mathematics and Dean of Research and IPR, Auxilium College, Vellore. She has 22 years of teaching experience. She served as a chairperson and an invited speaker in national/international conferences and delivered guest lectures in various academic events. She completed her UG degree at Auxilium College, Vellore in the year 2001, she actively involved in sports and represented for Madras University Football and Kho-Kho teams. She acquired Gold Medal in PG degree at Stella Maris College, Chennai in the year 2003. She completed M. Phil degree at Loyola College, Chennai in the year 2004. She obtained her Ph.D. in the year 2015 from VIT University and obtained the Research Award for three consecutive years. Her research areas are Mathematical Modelling, Nonlinear Differential Equations, Mathematical Biology and Mathematical Epidemiology. She has published papers in various international/national journals & conferences. She is currently guiding 3 Ph.D. scholars and three scholars has successfully completed the Ph.D. degree under her guidance. She is a RAJYAPURASKAR Guide, an Advanced Commissioner and has completed HWB(R). She guides the Rangers Unit of Auxilium College, Vellore. She is a coordinator of Student Induction Programme.
Mrs. A. Amalarathinam serves as Assistant Professor of Mathematics, Staff Secretary and the Anti-Drug Club Coordinator at Auxilium College (Autonomous), Vellore. She has 10 years of teaching experience. She completed her B. Sc., M. Sc. and M. Phil. in Mathematics at Auxilium College (Autonomous), Vellore. She cleared TNSET in the year 2016. She is currently pursuing Ph. D. at Thiruvalluvar University. Her area of interest includes Differential Equations, Solid Geometry, Numerical Analysis, Operations Research, Business Mathematics, Business Statistics, Abstract Algebra, Linear Algebra and R Programming Language.
Dr. J. Jesintha Rosline is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics, Auxilium College (Autonomous), Vellore-6. She has 12 years of teaching experience. She received her Bachelor of Science in the year 2006 from Stella Maris College, Chennai. She Completed her Master of Science in 2008 and Master of Philosophy in 2009 from Loyola College, Chennai. She received her Ph.D. in 2016 from the University of Madras. She did her Ph.D under the JRF – MANF and also received best Researcher award for her Research Work in the year 2016. Her research interests are Fuzzy Mathematics, Decision Making, Graph Theory and Fuzzy Graph Theory. She has published many papers both in the National and International Journals. She is currently guiding scholars in the area of Fuzzy Mathematics and Fuzzy Graph Theory, under her guidance two scholars have completed her Research work. She is serving as a doctorial Committee member for different Colleges.
Dr. Anthoni Amali A is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics, Auxilium College (Autonomous), Vellore-6. She has 5 years of teaching experience, and she has worked as PG. Assistant in the Hr. Sec. School for 10 years. She received her Bachelor of Science in the year 2007 from Auxilium College (Autonomous), Vellore-6. She Completed her Master of Science in 2015 and Master of Philosophy in 2018 from Loyola College, Chennai and She received gold medal from the university of Madras. She received her Ph.D. in 2024 from Thiruvalluvar University in Vellore. She received best Research Scholar award. Her research interests are Fuzzy Mathematics, Decision Making, Graph Theory and Fuzzy Graph Theory. She has published many papers both in the National and International Journals.
Management/Self-supporting Faculty
Dr. L. Sujatha is an Assistant Professor and Head of the PG and Research Department of Mathematics, Auxilium College (Autonomous), Vellore. She has 22 years of teaching experience. She completed her B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Mathematics at Holy Cross College (Autonomous), Tiruchirappalli, in 1995 and 1997 respectively. She obtained her M.Phil. in Mathematics from Madurai Kamaraj University, Madurai, in 2002, and was awarded her Ph.D. in Mathematics by Thiruvalluvar University in 2017. Her area of specialization is Fuzzy Set Theory and its Applications. She has published 36 research articles in reputed International and National Journals and has presented 27 research papers in International and National Conferences. She has organized 10 International and National programs. She has also served as a Technical Program Committee member of international conferences, Editorial Board Member of journals, Advisory Committee Member of journals and conferences, Reviewer for reputed journals, Chairperson in conferences, and Resource Person for various academic programs. She has guided 18 M.Phil. scholars and is currently guiding 2 Ph.D. scholars. She is also the Co-ordinator of the Spoken Tutorial Project (STP), IIT Bombay, at Auxilium College, Vellore.
Dr. Aruna G. currently serves as Assistant Professor at the PG and Research Department of Mathematics, Auxilium College (Autonomous), Vellore. She has 10 years of teaching experience. She completed her B.Sc., M.Sc., and M.Phil., (Mathematics) at Auxilium College (Autonomous), Vellore. Also, she completed her Ph.D. in Auxilium College (Autonomous), Affiliated with Thiruvalluvar University, Vellore. Her research interests include the implementation of Fuzzy sets in Decision-making Analysis, Medical diagnosis, Neural network, and in Operation research. She has published papers in International journals and conferences. She also serves as the Dean of Sciences and as a member of the Examination committee.
Dr. Priya P. currently serves as an Assistant Professor at the PG and Research Department of Mathematics, Auxilium College (Autonomous). She has 8 years of teaching experience. She completed her B.Sc., M.Sc., and M.Phil (Mathematics) at Auxilium College (Autonomous), Vellore. She Completed Ph.D. (Mathematics) at Auxilium College (Autonomous) affiliated to Thiruvalluvar University, Vellore. Her research interests include fractal and fractional differential equations, Mathematical modeling, Neural Networks, Numerical Analysis, Stability analysis, Optimal and adaptive control analysis, and Bifurcation analysis. She has published papers in international journals and conferences.
Dr. S. Yuvarani currently serves as an Assistant Professor in the PG and Research Department of Mathematics at Auxilium College (Autonomous), Vellore. She has nine years of teaching experience. She completed her B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Mathematics at Auxilium College (Autonomous), Vellore, and earned her Ph.D. from Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), Vellore in 2019. She also qualified the State Eligibility Test (SET) in 2017. Her research interests include Retrial Queues and Preemptive Priority Retrial Queues. She has published numerous research papers in reputed international journals and conferences, and has presented her research work at various national and international conferences, both offline and online. She has also guided 30 postgraduate students in their project work.
Ms. Divya B. currently serves as an Assistant Professor at the PG and Research Department of Mathematics, Auxilium College (Autonomous), Vellore. She completed her B.Sc. Mathematics from M.M.E.S Women’s Arts and Science College, Melvisharam in 2014 and acquired M.Sc. Mathematics from Auxilium College (Autonomous), Vellore in 2017. She is currently submitted her Thesis in Vellore Institute of Technology, Vellore in 2025. Her research interests include Differential Equations, Mathematical Modelling, Nonlinear Differential Equations, Mathematical Biology and Stability Analysis. She has published papers in National, International Journals and conferences.
Ms. Sandhiya V. currently serves as an Assistant Professor at the PG and Research Department of Mathematics, Auxilium College (Autonomous), Vellore. She has 1 year of teaching experience. She completed her B.Sc. Mathematics at Auxilium College (Autonomous), Vellore in the year 2016 and acquired M.Sc. Mathematics from Thiruvalluvar University, Serkkadu, Vellore in the year 2018. She received her Master of Philosophy in the year 2019 in Mathematics at Thiruvalluvar University, Serkkadu, Vellore. She submitted her Ph.D. Thesis at Vellore Institute of Technology, Vellore in the year 2025. Her research interests includes Graph Theory, Algebra, Group Theory, Algebraic Graph Theory, Fluid Dynamics, and Differential Equations. She has published papers in National, International Journals and conferences.
Dr. Pooja Cornelius serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics at Auxilium College (Autonomous), Vellore. She has 1 year of teaching experience. She completed her B. Sc from Auxilium College (Autonomous), Vellore in the year 2015. She received her Master of Science from Loyola College (Autonomous), Chennai, in the year 2017 and completed her Master of Philosophy in the year 2019 in Mathematics at Kamban College of Arts and Science for Women, Tiruvannamalai. She obtained her Doctorate in Mathematics from Thiruvalluvar University in the year 2025. Her areas of interest include Differential Equations, Functional Equations, Mathematical Modelling, Nonlinear Differential Equations, Mathematical Biology, and Mathematical Epidemiology.
Dr. Vinothini P. serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics at Auxilium College (Autonomous), Vellore. She completed her B. Sc. And M. Sc. from Auxilium College (Autonomous), Vellore. She received her Master of Philosophy from Auxilium College (Autonomous), Vellore, in the year 2018. She received her Doctorate in Mathematics from VIT University in the year 2025. Her area of interest includes Differential Equations, Fuzzy Theory, Mathematical Modelling, Nonlinear Differential Equations, Mathematical Biology, and Mathematical Epidemiology.
