POSTGRADUATE PROGRAMME - MASTER OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION

A major milestone in the department’s journey was the introduction of the MBA Programme in 2012, which marked a new chapter of growth. The Department has successfully completed 13 years of quality professional education in Auxilium campus. The programme was started in the year 2012 to empower the young women as professionals especially from the rural background. It focuses on capacity building combined with competence and character, and to help them achieve a self-sustained development – a distinctive mark of managerial calibre. It inculcates values that build human relationship through respect and understanding, igniting in the students a passion to work with commitment and dedication and thus making a difference in the competing global scenario. They not only excel in their professional careers but also contribute to society by upholding values of integrity, innovation, and responsibility. The department offers dual specialization in Human Resource Management, Hospital Management, Marketing Management, Logistics Management, Finance, Business Analytics and Systems.

The Department has strong collaboration and networking with various industries and institutions. This bridges the gap between theory and the business reality and also supports the students to take up projects, internship and training in the companies. The department focuses on development of the entrepreneurial skills of the students by conducting various training and awareness programmes. The department also provides hands on training to the students by running a business centre inside the campus to enhance entrepreneurial skills and online stock trading by opening Demat account to enhance the trading skills. In each semester value added courses like Sustainable Development Goals, Intellectual Property Rights, Software Programme in Zoho Books and Indian Knowledge System are offered along with other certificate courses.

UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAMME - BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION

The Department of Business Administration proudly celebrates 27 years of academic excellence and dynamic growth. The undergraduate programme, reinstated in 1997, was founded with a clear vision to groom young women into competent and confident executives capable of meeting the global demands of the business world.

Over the decades, the department has continuously evolved to keep pace with the changing trends in business and management education, while maintaining its hallmark of academic rigour and quality. Our students consistently push the boundaries of business knowledge and leadership, taking on impactful roles across industries and institutions.

As we step into our 28th academic year, the department reflects on a rich legacy shaped by the hard work, achievements, and aspirations of every student and faculty member who has been part of this journey. With gratitude for the past and enthusiasm for the future, the Department of Business Administration remains committed to nurturing leaders who can make a meaningful difference in the global business arena.

UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAMME - BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION (HOSPITAL ADMINISTRATION)

As part of its vision to diversify and equip students with specialized professional skills, the Department launched a separate programme in collaboration with Christian Medical College (CMC), Vellore in the year 2017. This pioneering initiative was designed to integrate core business administration knowledge with the dynamics of the healthcare sector.

Over the years, the programme has successfully produced graduates who are well-trained in both administration and hospital management practices, preparing them to meet the growing demands of the healthcare industry. A distinctive feature of the programme is its experiential learning model, where students undertake a 1-month project to apply classroom learning in real healthcare settings and complete a 2-month internship in Christian Medical College Vellore to gain hands-on exposure to hospital operations and administration.

To strengthen industry–academia collaboration, the Department has signed MoUs with leading healthcare organizations. These partnerships provide students with opportunities for training, research, hospital visits, and seminars, ensuring they are industry-ready.
