The speakers emphasized the importance of communication skills, writing skills,
technical skills and also the expectations of the interviewers and gave useful
tips about how to face the process during recruitment. The panel discussion was
followed by the question and answer
session and the students got their
doubts clarified.
The monthly formative talks given by the Secretary of the Auxilium College, Sr. Alice K.T., to the teaching staff members is a valuable opportunity provided by the college for educators to develop their skills and knowledge. During these talks, Sr. Alice K.T. provides insights and strategies on how teachers can enhance their teaching practices, build positive relationships with students, and promote their holistic development. During the talk given on February 28, 2023, Sr. Alice K.T. emphasized the importance of incorporating St. John Bosco's preventative system into teaching practices. She highlighted the three pillars of the system: Reason, Religion, and Loving Kindness. She also stressed the need for teachers to establish positive relationships with students, provide guidance and support, and promote holistic development's. Alice K.T. discussed Don Bosco's approach to discipline, which focuses on positive reinforcement and guidance rather than punishment. She also encouraged teachers to be present and attentive to the needs of students, both in and out of the classroom.
The Academic Audit is a faculty-driven model of ongoing self-reflection, collaboration, teamwork and peer feedback. Auxilium College places significant importance on academic audits as a tool for improving and maintaining the quality of its academic programs. The academic auditor team comprising of academicians and other experts visited the college on February 23, 2023. An extension activity exibition was also organised with students from our college's clubs, committees and movements showcasing their projects, and presenting other activities that they had taken part in over the years.
The workshop sessions focused on the basics of first aid, and how to
provide first aid in wounds,
bleeding, musculoskeletal injury, burns, heatstroke, poisoning, bites,
drowning, fainting, seizures and
unconsciousness. All Students had hands-on experience of dressing the wound, applying different
types of bandages, splinting
the injured body part, providing cardiopulmonary
resuscitation, and transferring the victim. There was active participation by all the student and they expressed that
the session was be very useful for them to meet the emergencies in college

Auxilium College's Student Forum, organized by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), was held on March 14, 2023. The forum serves as a welfare body comprising student council leaders and secretaries as representatives from various departments, who are invited to voice their opinions and concerns to the management through the forum. The forum also discussed various initiatives that could be taken to improve the overall student experience. The event ended on a positive note, with the management assuring the students that their opinions and concerns would be taken into consideration.

Auxilium College celebrated its 67th College Day March 10, 2023. The event was graced by distinguished Chief Guests, Thiru. The Department of Business Administration celebrated its 25th anniversary and International Women’s Day with the theme DigitALL. The celebration started with a prayer service and lighting of 25 lamps. The Chief Guests were Mrs. Sujatha Anandakumar, Mayor of Vellore Municipal Corporation and Mr. G.B Senthamarai Kannan, DIG of Prisons, Vellore Range. The guests of honor were successful alumnae entrepreneurs and present student entrepreneurs who received awards. Advocate Radhika gave an awareness talk on the wise use of technology. Auxilium Young Innovators’ Day in the mark of
National Science Day conducted a competition on innovative working-model display
for Arts and Science Students at National level on 28.02.2023. organized by Committee for Research Ethics,
Publication and IPR, in collaboration with Tamil Nadu Science Forum (TNSF). The
resource persons of the day were Mr. S. Ingersol, Scientist ‘H’, Former Group
Director, Indian Space Research Organisation, Bangalore and Dr.S. R. Sethu
Raman, State secretary, TNSF Project Director- IIT Madras, Hosur conducted the
session “Science with Magic”. Decision of the prize winners was made by the
Judges.
Hon. Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. T.
Arumugam, Thiruvalluvar University, Serkkadu, Vellore, the Chief Guest of the
Valedictory function gave insights into Entrepreneur development for the
younger generation and distributed cash prizes of Rs.3000/-, Rs.2000/- and
Rs.1000/ and Rs. 500/- to the first,
second, third place and consolation prize-winners of the competition.
Mobile planetariums are becoming a mainstay in
astronomy education, as they allow the presenter to enhance their lessons with
both incredible imagery that has become commonplace in the space age, as well
as visualizations of astronomical systems from moons to galaxies. Mobile Planetarium was setup in the
Auxilium College (Autonomous) to mark the National Science Day and 2700
students were registered.
The
Department of Business Administration along with 29 MBA students and 2 faculty
members Dr. Beulah Suresh and Dr. Balapriya went for a Student Exchange
Programme for one week from 27th February 2023 to 4th
March 2023 to Salesian College , Siliguri, West Bengal. Auxilium College, Vellore signed an MoU with Salesian
College, Siliguri under Xaviers Board of Higher Education for academic collaboration. In
Salesian college . Sonada the father Pawanjit animated the students with
various activities and students proceeded to Darjeeling visited all the local
places. Then the students travelled to Gangtok, Sikkim and they visited the local places including Tsomgo lake where the students enjoyed the
snow. Through this exchange programme the students learnt the culture and the
food habits of the people of Sikkim and West Bengal. On the final day 4th
March 2023 we had interactions with the Salesian College students, where the Auxilium
college students gave cultural programme and they made presentation on various
topics like Education system, Culture, Tourism Spots, Food , Politics and
Personalities of Tamilnadu, and then we had an interactive session with
Salesian College students. This youth exchange programme is a new initiative taken
by the Department of Business Administration, Auxilium college.
Auxilium College hosted a Christian retreat on February 25, 2023 for spiritual growth and reconciliation among its Catholic and non-Catholic students and staff. The retreat was led by five spiritual leaders, including Fr. Arockia Doss for Catholic staff and Fr. Selvaraj for non-Catholic staff. Fr. Gandhi Kallarasu facilitated the retreat for non-teaching staff, while Fr. Bala Singham led the retreat for non-Catholic students and Fr. Amal Raj guided Catholic students. The sessions covered a range of topics such as self-discovery, mindfulness, and personal growth. The retreat aimed to promote spiritual upliftment and foster a sense of unity and understanding among participants of different faiths and backgrounds.
Excitement is building for Visual Felicity 3.0, the intercollegiate cultural fest organised by Auxilium College's Department of Communication Media! Our students got everyone hyped with a flash mob on Feb 24, 2023. The fest will take place on March 2, 2023, with a variety of events including ramp walk, theme dances, digital poster drawing, photography, meme creation, and face painting.
To promote an intellectual culture of inquiry and discovery, a research lecture on Existentialism and Quantum Theory was organised by the PG and Research Department of English as part of its Research Lecture Series. The speaker was Ms. Anitha Daisy Winfred, Research Scholar and Assistant Professor, Department of English, Auxilium College. The thought-provoking talk threw light on the intersection of existentialism and quantum theory to provide unique literary perspectives on human existence.

Every Friday, our Controller of Examinations Dr. (Sr) Arokia Jayacelli A, shares a book recommendation to inspire individuals to continue reading and learning throughout their lives.This week's recommendation is "My Autobiography" by Charles Chaplin. As a part of the Business Administration Department's silver jubilee celebration, Mr. Kulandei Francis, the Founder & President of Integrated Village Development Project (IVDP), Krishnagiri, generously sponsored an outdoor LED panel for our college. The inauguration ceremony of the LED Panel was held on February 20, 2023, Mr. Francis gave an inaugural address, emphasizing the importance of hard work and dedication as the key to success. We are grateful for his support and contribution to our celebration.
Don Bosco College (Yelagiri) hosted a National Level Intercollegiate Management Fest with the theme 'Management in AI driven World - Leaping forward towards revolution' on February 9, 2023. The fest included various competitions such as JAM, paper presentation, quiz, food without fire, excel master, reels, video making, meme, mime, dance, and best manager. 26 of our II MBA students participated and won first and second prizes in almost all the competitions. Overall, the college scored 220 points and was awarded the championship award. Congrats to the winners

The purpose of the annual Dramatics Competition organised by the English Literary Association is to provide an opportunity for the youth of Auxilium to unleash their talents on stage, and then watch spellbound as that creativity morphs and expands to reveal the majesty of human nature and spirit. Inter-year Dramatics (Shift 1) took place on January 31 while Inter-Departmental Dramatics (Shift 2) was conducted on February 6 2023. The theme was Nature and Fantasy and scintillating plays like A Midsummer Night's Dream, and adaptations of The Chronicles of Narnia, Cinderella, and Alice in Wonderland were staged with our students in their charismatic best. The judges of the Inter-Year Dramatics were Ms. Esther Rajathi M., English Faculty, Ms. Leena Xavier, Springdays CBSE School, and Ms. Archana Venkatraman,English Faculty from Springdays CBSE School. Our III years won first place. Second and Third place was secured by I years and II years respectively. The Best Actress award was won by Asna Thasneem of III English 'A'and the Best Director award by Sheena Sahana of I English 'A'.The judges of the Inter-Departmental Dramatics were Dr. Saravanan V, Assistant Professor of English, VIT University, Vellore, Ms. G. Rekha, Assistant Professor of English, Voorhees College, Vellore, and Dr. C. India, Assistant Professor of English, Vaniyambadi. Department of Microbiology won first place. Second and Third place was secured by the Department of Computer Science and Math and the Department of Business Administration respectively. The Best Actress award was won by Sushmitha of III B.com (General).
As the incidence of cancer is increasing rapidly in India, Auxilium College recognises the importance of cancer literacy and knowledge amongst the population. An awareness programme on Cervical cancer and its prevention and the benefits of Human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccines was organized by the Department of Biochemistry, Microbiology and Zoology in collaboration with Christian Medical College, Vellore on January 31, 2023. Dr. Anitha Thomas, Head Department of Gynaecological Oncology delivered a lecture on women's health. Dr. Banu, Medical Research Assistant spoke about HPV vaccines. Dr. Sahana Punneshetty, Assistant Professor, Department of Gynaecological Oncology shed light on cervical cancer and its preventive measures. The pledge was taken to eliminate cervical cancer and to initiate awareness about the HPV vaccine.
Martyrs' Day, also known as Shaheed Diwas, is observed in India on January 30 to commemorate the death of Mahatma Gandhi, who was assassinated on this day in 1948. In memory of the sacrifice and to honour the legacy of the father of our nation, students of Auxilium College, Vellore observed a moment of prayer and took a pledge to end untouchability and violence.
The Feast of Gratitude, which St. John Bosco started more than a century ago, is observed in Salesian communities worldwide every year. It is a way to educate young people about gratitude, making them have a direct and engaging experience. Thankfulness was celebrated and expressed to all the stakeholders, the educating community, the HoDs, the non-teaching staff, workers, and students of Auxilium College, Vellore over the week preceding January 28, 2023 when Gratitude Day was observed. The day witnessed prayer songs, felicitation songs, depictions, folk and western dances. Our Secretary Sr. Alice K.T was especially honored and celebrated for her unyielding guidance and patronage. Principal Dr.(Sr) Jaya Shanthi R., Principal, B.Ed College, Sr. Amali Alexander, Controller of Examinations, Dr. (Sr) Arokia Jayaceli A, and Vice Principals Dr.(Sr) Sumathi M. and Dr.(Sr) Amala Valarmathy A. were felicitated for their loving and untiring service. The day culminated with Sr. Alice K.T encouraging the students and staff members to never stop growing in strength, to give more, and to grow more.

To commemorate the harvest festival, Auxilium College's Tamil Literary Association organized a Pongal Celebration on January 13, 2023. Marking the auspiciousness of the occasion, the traditional pongal was cooked and distributed with great fanfare. Scintillating folk dances were performed by our students. The chief guest, Mr. T. S. Yesu Nathaniel Prabhu, Assistant Professor, Voorhees College, Vellore, made the event all the more memorable by crooning folk songs and engaging the students with his wit and knowledge.
In commemoration of National Youth Day, also known as Vivekananda Jayanti on January 12, 2023, Auxilium College hosted its 67th Annual Sports Meet. It was a day brimming with fervor, and excitement experienced amidst thrills, shrills and cheers. The chief guest was Mr. S. Rajesh Kannan, IPS, Superintendent of Police, Vellore. After the flag was hoisted and the Olympic torch was lit, the Inter-Departmental March Past took place. It was a highly competitive event where 24 of our departments eyed the first position. Perfect teamwork, coordination and agility was displayed by our students through their human pyramid formations. Our students demonstrated their grit and athleticism by participating in various relay races that were held. B.Com shift 1 and 2 took home the overall championship trophies respectively. The march-past winners were B.Com from Shift 1 and BSc Microbiology from Shift 2. It was truly a day filled with sportsmanship, enthusiasm and memories to cherish.

Mr. Jawarilal Jain, Chairman, Ambalal group, Mr. Karan Jawarilal, Chairman, Ambalal Shares & Stocks, our Principal Dr. (Sr.) Jaya Santhi R and Head & Assistant Professor, Department of Business Administration Dr. Beulah Suresh, graced the programme. As part of the International Entrepreneurship Day, Ambalal groups handpicked a few successful entrepreneurs of Vellore and honoured them with Ambalal awards. The chief guest and guest of honour threw light on the nuances of doing business and shared invaluable viewpoints with the budding entrepreneurs of Auxilium College. During their felicitation address, our Principal, Dr. (Sr.) Jaya Santhi R and Mr. Jawarilal Jain, stressed on the importance of passion, creativity, and resilience for successful entrepreneurship.
Grooming one’s outer and inner self in order to make a positive difference in one’s life is a significant part of Auxilium College's ethos. To create a basic awareness about the significance of soft skills in professional and interpersonal communications and facilitate an all-round development of personality a specialized short-term personality development programme was conducted for prison officers from across India at Academy of Prisons and Correctional Administration, Vellore from January 10, 2023 to January 12, 2023. Sessions were conducted by resource persons from Auxilium College, Voorhees College, and CMC, Vellore, on topics like interpersonal relationships, professional ethics and morality etiquette management, conflict management, dynamic team building, positive thinking, public speaking, communication skills, stress and time management.
Auxilium College recognises the importance of enhancing and strengthening leadership capabilities and core competencies to ensure that students have the skills, knowledge and resources to effectively lead, engage teams and to develop themselves. The Department of Business Administration conducted a one-week Management Development Programme (MDP) in association with Matha Educational Trust, Gandhi Nagar sponsored by MSME, Chennai from January 9 to 14, 2023. 25 students of III BBA participated in the programme. A wide range of subject matter that would enable the students to be successful entrepreneurs were covered during the programme. The topics included Motivation & Self Confidence, Self Employment and Its advantages over Wage Employment, HR Management, Export Management, Marketing Management, Personnel Management, Financial Management, Risk Taking & Goal setting, Communication Skills and Creative thinking among others.
It's important to start any new semester strong in order to maintain a steady, healthy academic life throughout the year. To mark the occasion of a new year and a new semester, the Departments of Psychology and Visual Communication, (Shift 1) and Microbiology (Shift 2) respectively, organized a memorable prayer service and assembly on January 3, 2023. The event witnessed captivating dance performances, reflective depictions and talks on the theme of goodwill and presentations of new year's resolutions, among other things. A one day 'workcation' to the picturesque hamlet of Hogenakkal was organized by our college on December 2, 2022.

Along with these memories, there were also some lessons I’ve had to learn and I take joy in sharing them with you! Never depend on anyone or anything. Independence is a skill forged through trials and patience, but once you master it, it’ll guide you till your very last. Be bold enough to approach the faculty for anything. The confidence I have now was completely developed by the faculty members of the college; their appreciation for even the smallest of achievements inspired me to always go the extra mile. Participate in every competition. Doing so will help you in every way such as boosting your self confidence, overcoming stage fear, etc. Have a friendly relationship with your peers and help them overcome their fears, this will in turn help you to overcome your own inhibitions. Last but not the least, always be an optimist! This will help you to reach new heights in the future. The humbleness, selflessness and the zeal of the college will help you to become the best version of yourself, and here I am, a walking example of that!
A clean and healthy environment in an organization is instrumental for effective learning, and provides a conducive academic environment to the students. Green campus auditing is a systematic process whereby an organization’s environmental performance is checked against the environmental policies and guidelines of the Government. The National Science Foundation's Peer team visit to Auxilium College for Green audit, Enviro audit, Energy audit, and Hygiene audit took place on November 28, 2022. Our college was commended for consistently taking enormous efforts to maintain a green campus, and a safe and sustainable environment for its students, staff members, and other stakeholders.
Auxilium College firmly believes in both ethical engagement — especially concern for others and the common good — and intellectual engagement in the moulding of young impactful intellectuals, who demonstrate leadership, initiative, creativity and the intent to make an impact in the world they live in. Members of Auxilium College's Kanali Women's Cell visited the Nirmal Hriday Destitute Home for the Mentally Ill at Shenbakkam on November 26, 2022 as a part of the Community Service programme. The students organized an uplifting programme wherein they sang, danced, gave speeches and engaged with the inhabitants of the home.
In commemoration of the silver jubilee celebration, The Department of Business Administration, Auxilium College (Autonomous) organized an International conference on the topic “The Powerhouse of innovation for a better world through entrepreneurialism” on 22/11/2022 in association with Ambalal group of companies, Vellore. Dr. Beulah Suresh, Head, Department of Business Administration introduced and welcomed the chief guest. Dr. (Sr.) Jaya Santhi R, Principal of the college and Dr. (Sr.) Sagayamary T, Director of Management Studies gave felicitation address. The Department signed an MOU with Headway Academy, Chennai for CSR collaborative work. The chief guest Dr. K. Raghavi Senthil Kumar, Director and Founder of Headway Academy, Chennai addressed the audience and motivated the students on how to stand on their own. As entrepreneur, The inaugural session was followed by the resource talk of Dr. Montgomery, Managing Director, Montgomery Global, Singapore who shared his ideas on the topic best entrepreneurial skills and talents. The next session was taken over by Ms. Angel Joe, Founder, JA Fashions & JA Events, UAE through virtual platform on the challenges faced by entrepreneurs. There was a panel session in which the successful entrepreneurs of Vellore, past pupil entrepreneurs of the Department and the present MBA student entrepreneurs interacted and shared their experiences with the audience. Nearly 700 participants from various colleges attended the Conference. Intercollegiate competitions like paper presentation, video making and business proposal were conducted. The programme ended with valedictory session where Mr. Suresh Kumar Ravi, Founder, Well and Wall Interior Design Studio addressed the gathering and distributed the prizes for the prize winners of intercollegiate competitions. The programme ended with vote of thanks proposed by Ms. Ruthmary, Assistant Professor , Department of Business Administration and with the college anthem.
Auxilium College's education methodology is firmly outcome-based. Outcome-based education is a step of transformation from merely teaching certain knowledge content or syllabi to ensuring certain competencies are being developed in students and the desired outcomes are being achieved. An orientation lecture on Understanding OBE methods and Qn Smart Software, was organized by Auxilium College's Examination Committee, on November 22, 2022. The resource person was Dr. Rosaline Ezhilarasi J, Associate Professor, Department of Chemistry. Through the invitation of experts as guest lecturers, Auxilium College offers students the opportunity to meet passionate, committed and critical people, and to learn from them in various ways. Our college's PG and Research Department of English and Theatre club organized a guest lecture on The Growth and Development of Tamil Drama on November 18, 2022. The subject matter expert was Mr. K Parthibaraja, Assistant Professor of Tamil, Sacred Heart College, Thirupathur. He is a theatre activist, playwright, director and trained theatre artist who has staged his plays all over India and abroad. Our students gained valuable insight and perspective through the lecture that threw light on the rich legacy of Tamil Theatre.

The struggle to maintain a strong mental and physical health is on the rise now more than ever. In this modern world, unhealthy food has become a part and parcel of everyday life, which can be fatal if the appropriate measures aren't implemented immediately.On the 15th of November, 2022, our college's National Service Scheme (NSS) organised a Traditional Food Festival, to bring to light the age old healthy food items that have proved to be extremely beneficial and to throw light on the ill effects of over consumption of junk food. This event was headed by the Department of Social Welfare and Women Empowerment (TN), focusing on the growth and development of children through the provision of nutritious food.In light of this event, a poster-making and cooking competition was conducted, in addition to a cultural segment of skits, dances, and music. A plethora of traditional food from around the country was displayed by our students. The members of the Integrated Child Development Service (ICDS) also presented an array of traditional and healthy food near the college auditorium. The guests of honor were Mr. P. Kumaravel Pandian, Collector, Vellore, Mr. Sunil Kumar, Deputy Mayor, Vellore, Ms. Pushpalatha, First Zone Committee Chairwoman, Ms. V. Auxilium College's Youth Red Cross is an active participant in a wide number of programmes and services, including emergency response, disaster preparedness, community-based health and care, first aid training and other volunteer activities.
A One Day District Level Study Camp was organized by Auxilium College on November 10, 2022, Dr. Sekar Viswanathan, Vice President, VIT University, was the Chief Guest. Dr. V. R. Durai, Scientist, Indian Meteorological Department was the Guest of Honour. The camp aimed to highlight the different strategies and methods with the help of which one can make life more fruitful and enjoyable.Talks on constructive topics related to disaster management, dealing with failure, and career counseling were given.
VFX workshop delivered by ICAT's VFX expert at Auxilium College, Vellore
VFX stands for visual effects. Visual effects create or manipulate film imagery to add a sense of realism to visual storytelling. To help students translate their imagination to visual effects the Department of Communication Media in association with the Department of Institutional Relations & Career Guidance of ICAT organized a 4-hour VFX Workshop on November 9, 2022. The subject matter expert Mr. N. M. Varan, Associate Academic Head, VFX Supervisor, ICAT, addressed the students and walked them through the complex VFX pipeline with real time examples.

National Cancer Awareness Day is observed on November 7 in India. According to the World Health Organization, cancer is one of the leading causes of death worldwide. Every year, India reports nearly 1.1 million new cancer cases. Two-thirds of cancer cases are diagnosed at an advanced stage, reducing patients’ chances of survival. To draw attention and raise awareness about the condition's early detection, treatment, and diagnosis, Auxilium College's Department of Social Work in collaboration with the Department Visual Communication, and Psychology organized a rally on November 7, 2022. Staff members and more than 100 students participated in the 1 km walk from Auxilium college to Don Bosco School, Katpadi and successfully spread awareness to the masses. The rally was also featured in the popular Tamil daily Maalai Malar.

Auxilium College Observes World Heart Day with a Pioneering Marathon Created by the World Heart Federation, World Heart Day informs people around the globe that Cardiovascular Disease (CVD), including heart disease and stroke, is the world’s leading cause of death claiming 18.6 million lives each year, and highlights the actions that individuals can take to prevent and control CVD. The Department of BBA (Hospital Administration) Auxilium College, a joint venture Degree Programme with Christian Medical College and Hospital, in observance of World Heart Day on September 29, 2022, organized a marathon in partnership with Rotary Club of Vellore Fort, Indian Medical Association (IMA), and MMM Ortho Hospital, Vellore. The marathon was inaugurated by Thiru. G. V. Selvam, Vice President, VIT University, Vellore. Dr. Sr. Jaya Santhi R, Principal, Auxilium College congratulated and conveyed her warm wishes to the students and the Department for the initiative. Around 350 Auxilium College students participated in the marathon. The marathon kickstarted from Katpadi railway station at 06.30 AM with the finish line at Auxilium College. The valedictory ceremony was held at the college auditorium. The Chief Guests: Dr. Thiagarajan, President, Indian Medical Association, Vellore and Dr. Dhanesh Kumar, Secretary, Indian Medical Association, Vellore addressed the gathering. The Guests of Honour were Thiru K. Vijayakumar, President and Thiru N. Venkatesan, Secretary, Rotary Club of Vellore Fort, Vellore. An awareness talk was given on various measures to prevent heart diseases and how to keep our hearts healthy.Poster presentation, logo designing and essay writing competitions were organized on the theme "A good start for a better heart" to commemorate World Heart Day.
Patriotic songs have always played an important role in boosting our morale and fostering a spirit of love towards the nation. In an effort to give voice to Auxilium College's patriotic souls, an Interdepartmental Hindi Patriotic Song Competition was organised by Hindi Literary Association on October 19, 2022. The competition, which is conducted annually, saw the enthusiastic participation of all our departments.The group representing B.Com (Shift 1) won the first prize, while BA English 'B', and BBA (Hospital Administration) occupied the second and the third place respectively.
The Grand Finale of this year's Muthamizh Vizha celebration which took place October 15, 2022 was a true feast for the senses. The acclaimed singer and lyricist Mr. Arivarasu Kalainesan popularly known as Arivu graced the momentous occasion as the chief guest. Tamil history and literature was paid homage to with powerful dramatic renditions of the epic Silappathikaram and the legend of Nangeli. Following some awe-inspiring dance performances by our students, Mr. Arivu took to the stage to croon his hit numbers, and also a brand new song that he had penned. He spoke at length about the impact of Tamil socio-cultural history on art, and the importance of artistic expression, among other things. The day culminated with the honouring of the title holders of the various competitions that were held over the seven day span of the festival. The Department Of History (Shift I) and BBA (Shift II) emerged triumphant as the winners of the overall championship.
Visitations are the manifestation of the mutual care, love and compassion that we show to each other. The faculty, staff and students of Auxilium college were honored to have been graced with the presence of the visiting councilor, Rev. Sr. Celine Jacob, as part of the Canonical Visit to all the organizations administered by the Salesian Sisters. The visit to our college lasted for a total of five days, from October 18 to 22, 2022.Our students used this opportunity to portray the enthralling student life that is offered here at Auxilium. An intimate programme was conducted on the morning of the 20th where the students displayed the exciting opportunities and the excellent education that is offered to them in the form of a parade, speeches, songs and dances. This was followed by a pageant-like display of all the departments and clubs that function in the college. Several students took turns to throw light on the holistic and nurturing environment that is offered in Auxilium. To mark the event, Centenary scholarships were presented to the students in need. The programme culminated with Rev. Sr. Celine's uplifting message to the students. Rev. Sr. Celine also met our teaching and non-teaching staff members and had an interactive session with them where she shared words of motivation and inspiration.Her visit was truly a reassurance of the support and guidance of the Salesian Preventive System of Education to the teaching and student community of Auxilium College.
In commemoration of Abdul Kalam's birthday, Auxilium College's NSS Unit made the magic of books even more accessible with their latest initiative of the Auto Library. The Auto Library was launched by Mr. G.B. Senthamarai Kannan, DIG, Vellore, on October 14, 2022.
Our college has never left any stone unturned when it comes to offering its students effective learning from real-world experience. On October 14, 2022, our students from the Department of Visual Communication visited the All India Mega Photo and Video Exhibition held at Chennai Trade Centre. It was organized by the Tamil Nadu Video and Photographers Association with the theme “TVPA’s Digi Media (March towards Technology)”. The exhibition housed stalls that displayed a compelling range of high-end and state-of-the-art photography and videography products. Our students also attended a seminar that walked them through various photography techniques. The Secretary of the Tamil Nadu Photographers' Association acknowledged the presence of our students and appreciated their enthusiasm to acquire and enhance their knowledge to keep up with the fast-growing world of media and technology.
In commemoration of International Girl Child Day, Auxilium College's Rotaract Club in collaboration with Rotary club of Vellore Fort, Sri Narayani Hospital and Research Centre & JP Dental clinic, organized a Mega Medical Camp on October 11, 2022. The chief guest was Mr. S. Rajesh Kannan, IPS, Superintendent of Police, Vellore.The resource persons were Mrs. Suba Vijayaraj, Founder, Soft skills trainer, Rumination Life Academy, and Rtn. G. Nandha Kumar, Anaemia Chairman.Organized with the aim of promoting health awareness among the students and offering them easy access to quality healthcare, the camp offered specialist consultations, dental check-up, and health tests among other things, all free of charge.
Assemblies are one of the ways by which Auxilium College promotes its value-based education in students for their integral development. Eco-consciousness was the theme of this month's assembly by the Department of Chemistry and BBA (Shift 1 and 2), which took place on October 11, 2022. Our responsibility towards the ecosystem was reinforced through a meaningful skit, presentation, and mime by our students. A classical dance number that beautifully depicted the formation of our Mother Earth, was also performed. The environment is not an entity that can be isolated from our lives. It is not a collection of things that we encounter. Rather, it is a part of our being. It is the locus of our existence and identity, so let us all do our bit to start conserving and protecting it.
To help students explore their interests, nurture their talents, and grow their strengths further than time allows in a traditional classroom setting, our college has always encouraged its students to participate in external competitions and events. Our undergraduate students from the Department of English participated in the Yuva Utsav 2022, a district-level youth festival organized by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Govt of India, that was held in Muthurangam Govt. Arts College on October 10 and 11, 2022. More than 20 of our students displayed their talents by participating in various programmes like youth convention, cultural fest, poetry, art, photography, and declamatory contests. They received awards, certificates and cash prizes from Mr. P. Kumaravel Pandian, District Collector, and Mr. Durai Murugan Kathir Anand, Member of Parliament.

Muthamizh Vizha is an annual 7 day event, organized by Auxilium College's Department of Tamil. The event highlights the glory of Tamil Language, Literature, and Culture. Various competitions are organized in this event aiming to promote students’ interest in spoken and written Tamil, and to motivate and equip them with skills to contribute to the Tamil oeuvre. The event will culminate with a grand culture extravaganza on October 15, 2020. Festivities began at the college on October 6, 2022 with our students paying homage to great Tamil literary figures like Subramania Bharathiyar, Avvaiyar, Bharathidasan, and Thiruvalluvar among others.
Technology like art is a soaring exercise of the human imagination. Department of Computer Science and Applications organised the IFEST 22, a State Level Inter-Collegiate Symposium on September 30, 2022. IFEST 22 provided a great platform for students to present and develop innovative ideas in the field of technology. This IT symposium was organised with an aim to instill desire for technical expertise, digital transformation, technological soundness and innovation in students through exciting and challenging activities like paper presentation, signboard and model making, code writing and product marketing.The overall championship was won by Sacred Heart College, Tiruppattur.

Auxilium College places great emphasis on hands-on learning, and workshops are regularly organised to nurture entrepreneurial skills like leadership, business management, time management, and creative thinking in our students.Screen printing is a popular printing method that uses a process that presses ink through a mesh screen in order to create a printed design. It’s used in a huge range of industries across the globe to create custom clothing, canvasses, artwork, posters, and more. The Department of History organized a Textile Screen Printing Workshop in collaboration with Raja Screen Printers, Theni on September 29, 2022 at the PG Hostel Block from 10 AM to 2 PM. Sr. Sumathi M, Vice Principal and Head of the Department of History introduced the resource person, Mr. Rajavelu who explained the application and uses of textile screen printing method and walked our students through the techniques.Students also got the opportunity to get hands-on insight into the printing process after they were given clothes to work on. 71 students from the History department benefitted from this workshop.
Auxilium College will offer consultancy services to M.M.E.S. Women's Arts and Science College, Melvisharam for NAAC Accreditation. To help improve proficiency and capacity which are noteworthy factors in order to score a top grade in NAAC accreditation, our Principal Dr. (Sr.) Jaya Santhi R officiated the consultancy agreement on September 26, 2022.Auxilium College, which has been accredited by NAAC with A and a CGPA of 3.55/4, will assist in the enhancement of the overall quality of the client institution before the NAAC assessment.
Career Guidance and placement cell of Auxilium College has collaborated with Veranda Race Learning Solutions Pvt ltd., and conducted the "Life Skill orientation programme" on behalf of "NAAN MUDHALVAN" scheme launched by our honourable chief minister Thiru M.K. Stalin throughout Tamilnadu to eradicate the unemployment in our state. The Resource persons are Immanuvel S Trainer, Pradeep Kumar Branch Manager, from Veranda Learning Solutions Pvt Ltd., vellore . It is about the massive industry relevant skill enhancement initiative for the youth of Tamilnadu.This program aims to provide dynamic information for college students on courses and relevant information about industry specific skill offerings. This will enable the students of our Auxilium to get training in their chosen field of interest that will help them in achieving their career goals. This help our students to impart various skill trainings based on current industry gaps. Through this flagship program the students will be able to get trained and ensure they get jobs according to their skill sets in the various competitive examinations like TNPSC, UPSC, IBPS, SSC, RRB etc., Through this program 1100 students of our Auxilium campus from both Shift I and II were benefited.
Auxilium College's groups, clubs, and movements allow students to grow academically, socially, and personally ensuring that their experience in college is a rewarding and an empowering one. The Kanali Women's Cell is a group meant for students who are interested in being responsible citizens and leaders who serve the community.On September 22, 2022, members of Kalani Women's Cell visited the School and Home for the Blind (Seva Samaj), Andur. Our students spent a week helping the young ones there with basic reading skills. They also shared many lighter moments with them wherein they sang songs, performed dance numbers and even distributed gifts.It was truly a memorable and humbling experience for our students

The value of gratitude was the theme of this month's assembly conducted by students from the Department of Commerce on September 21, 2022. A thankful appreciation for all the goodness in our lives was conveyed through readings from holy scriptures of different religions, a melodious song highlighting gratefulness, some delightful dance numbers, and a depiction that commemorated noble professions like teachers, doctors and police officers.

Moovalur Ramamirtham Scholarships Distributed at Auxilium College
Moovalur Ramamirtham Scholarships, under the Tamil Nadu Government's Moovalur Ramamirtham Ammaiyar Higher Education Assurance Scheme, were distributed on the premises of Auxilium College, Vellore on September 5, 2020. The scheme aims to enhance the enrolment ratio of girls from Government schools to Higher Education Institutions through the financial assistance of Rs. 1000 per month which will be provided to the girls till their completion of UG degree/Diploma/ITI/any other recognized course.
It's a Wrap!: Centenary Celebration of the Salesian Sisters' Presence in India
The Grand Finale of the centennial commemoration of the Salesian presence in India was true to its name, a grand and glorious experience of a lifetime. The event took place on September 3, 2022 on the premises of Auxilium College, Vellore. The Chief guest and the guests of honour were the Very Rev. Sr. Chiara Cazzuola FMA, Superior General of Salesian Sisters of Rome, Italy, and Rev. Fr. Angel Fernandez Artime SDB, Rector Major of the Salesians, with the other prominent members of the FMA and SDB Provincials of India.To mark the auspicious event, three books were released, scholarships were presented to the students in need, and Lifetime Achievement awards and honours were conferred upon the Salesian Sisters for their untiring efforts to further the Salesian cause in India.The cultural bonanza was a visual delight which reinforced the Salesian history of India and the Centenary theme through mesmerizing dance numbers, mimes and a melodic rendition of the Centenary anthem.The event was a fitting culmination of the celebration of St. Don Bosco and St. Mary Mazzarello's legacy that lives on through the presence of the Salesian Sisters in India. Auxilium firmly believes that effective employee orientation is not only a critical driver of onboarding success but also important for the smooth transitioning of existing employees. The Staff Orientation Programme continued on August 27, 2022, this time for the staff members who began their journey at Auxilium from 2015, so that it could help them better align with the organizational expectations, especially in the post pandemic context . BCA Association and IT Club Inauguration
BCA Shift I Association and IT Club inauguration took place at Auxilium College on August 26, 2022. The guest of honour was Dr. Kumaresan Angappan, Assistant Professor from School of Computer Science and Engineering, VIT University, Vellore. Dr. Angappan had an interactive session with our students and spoke on the topic of trending and emerging technologies and how they are poised to transform every aspect of business in the next decade. Auxilium College's Information Technology (IT) Club aims to provide its student members an opportunity to share and extend their ideas and hence interact with the industry to expand their horizons in the field of IT to keep up with its fast-changing nature.

Ma. Vedhanayagar Tamil Association inauguration and the Vivekananda Endowment Lecture took place on August 26, 2022 at Auxilium College. The chief guest was Rtn. S. S. Sivavadivu,Headmaster of Kalviulagam Sivanadam High School, and Secretary of Katpadi Red Cross. Youth Red Cross at Auxilium: Creating a Climate for Peace and Goodwill
Envisioning the need for grooming the youth for the new generation, so that they become socially aware citizens of the country, Auxilium College's Youth Red Cross provides a platform where youth can exhibit their talents, skills, knowledge, ability towards the welfare of the people. The Youth Red Cross (YRC) is a unit that functions under the Indian Red Cross Society.In line with the objectives of the humanitarian organisation, the YRC organized an Inter-Departmental Model Making Competition on August 18, 2020 on the themes of Health, Service & Friendship. Models were to be made from eco-friendly materials, and were judged based on creativity, presentation and relevance to the theme.

A Philanthropic Initiative: Launch of Single Parent Cell
To mark St. John Bosco’s birthday, the Centenary Celebration of the Salesian Sisters' arrival, and to commemorate the Silver Jubilee of the Department of Business Administration, the Single Parent Family Cell was launched officially on August 16, 2022.Dr. Beulah Suresh, Head & Assistant Professor, PG and Research, Department of Business Administration envisioned the importance of and need for the existence of the cell so that it could assist students physically, emotionally, psychologically and financially to combat the challenges of growing in a single parent home. Pride, Joy, Patriotic Fervour on Show at Auxilium College as the Tricolour Flies High
The celebration of the 75th year of Independence took place with great pomp and fanfare on August 15, 2022 at Auxilium College. The tricolour was hoisted and unfurled at the college grounds by the chief guest Major (Dr.) T. Sathish, Army Medical Corps, in the presence of our Secretary Sr. Alice K.T., Principal Dr.(Sr) Jaya Shanthi R., and Vice Principals Sr. Sumathi M. and Dr.(Sr) Amala Valarmathy A. The ceremony was made memorable by the joint efforts of the Department of History and the National Cadet Corps led by the coordinators Capt. Anitha Alice E. and Sr. Sumathi M.Our students commemorated our nation's greatness and remembered our history through a scintillating mime on significant historical events that lead to independence, a mesmerizing march by the NCC, a memorable speech, patriotic songs, and dances.The event came to a close with our students from the Department of Commerce paying homage to the freedom fighters who made India's independence possible, by portraying them.May we, the citizens, stand united and do our best to build our country so that it may soar with wings of liberty, diversity and dignity. Auxilium Joins the Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign
To invoke the feeling of patriotism in the hearts of the people and to celebrate Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav in the spirit of Jan Bhagidari (public participation), Auxilium's Department of Commerce in collaboration with India Post organised a sale of our National Flag on August 12, 2022. The sale was arranged as part of the Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign launched by our honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. The first flag was presented to our Principal Dr. (Sr) Jaya Shanthi by the Head of Commerce Department Dr. Auxilia Antony. Our NCC Cadet Ms. Jeni Chandra gave an invigorating talk on the history of our National Flag and the significance of its tricolour to mark the event.

Auxilium Takes a Stand Against Substance Abuse: Pledge Administered
Auxilium College came out in full support of the Tamil Nadu Government's state-wide initiative for a Drug Free India. Our students from Shifts 1 and 2 took a pledge against use of narcotic substances on August 11, 2022.The pledge was administered by Youth Red Cross (YRC) and an awareness rally was held by the members of the organisation.
Together, let us strengthen action and cooperation in achieving a world free of drug abuse.

Association and IT Club inauguration took place at Auxilium College on August
10, 2022. The guest of honour was Dr. S.Parimala Renganayagi, Associate
Professor from School of Civil Engineering, VIT University, Vellore.
Dr. S.Parimala Renganayaki had an interactive session with our students and spoke on the topic of Application of AI and IOT in Water Management. She also explained how AI in useful in various fields in our day today life. Auxilium College's Information Technology (IT) Club aims to provide its student members an opportunity to share and extend their ideas and hence interact with the industry to expand their horizons in the field of IT to keep up with its fast-changing nature.
Staff Orientation Programme at Auxilium
We at Auxilium strive to provide a welcoming, supportive and engaging work environment for each of our staff members so that it may set the stage for their professional growth and success. To ensure the same our management and the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) organised an orientation programme on 'The Process & Preparation for NAAC'. It commenced successfully on August 7, 2022 and will take place in a phased manner over the next few weeks. Our resource persons — the IQAC Coordinator Dr. A. Mary Agnes and the PARAMARSH Coordinator Dr. B. Scholastica Mary — walked our staff members through the academic and administrative activities of IQAC, and the seven criteria that serve as the basis of NAAC's assessment procedures.We warmly welcome our staff members, both new and existing, on board and hope that this initiative helps them adapt to the Auxilium work culture seamlessly.
Paving Way for Learners to be Leaders: Auxilium Joins Hands with Malaysia's Royal Commonwealth Society
On the 2nd of August, 2022, the Memorandum of Understanding between Auxilium College and Royal Commonwealth Society, Malaysia was renewed for the next five years, in the presence of Asia Regional Youth Coordinator Mr. Dhanesh Basil. This will allow for further facilitation of fruitful collaborations in the form of student and faculty exchange, jointly organized events and research initiatives in the near future.The VIP (Volunteer-Innovate-Participate), and G17 University Ambassadors Consortium global fellowship programmes, along with a Certificate Course on UN's Sustainable Development Goals were officially launched on the same day.
Here is a glimpse of our five-day long Student Induction Programme which began on July 25, 2022 and culminated on July 29, 2022.The Programme featured meticulously planned productive activities like motivational talks, engrossing lectures and presentations, creative and literary showcases, lively departmental introduction sessions, a delightful campus tour, and a fun-filled talent expo to wrap it all up. We look forward to spending a wondrous and academically enriching year ahead with our learners.
In the Creative Arts session, the first year students are exposed to culture and art forms like painting, drawing, making jewelry, decorations, handicrafts from waste things, mehandi, etc. The session made them to do creative expressions in the form of arts. It developed a sense of aesthetic and also enhanced creativity which will hopefully, flow into their all other performances and studies later.
Auxilium College never leaves any stone unturned when it comes to empowering its students to face the world head on and become leaders of tomorrow. In collaboration with CMC’s Christian Counselling Centre, our college organized a two-day orientation programme on the 18th and 19th of July, 2022, for the undergraduate and postgraduate students. The programme shed light on Life Skills to Excel in Higher Education. The Director and Professor of Counselling Psychology Dr. B.J. Prashantham and his team presided over the programme in the presence of our Secretary Sr. Alice K.T., Principal Dr.(Sr) Jaya Shanthi R., and Vice Principals Sr. Sumathi M. and Dr.(Sr) Amala Valarmathy A.
Our college has always stressed the significance of understanding and celebrating oneself, the value of living authentically, and the importance of pursuing becoming. National cadet corps of Auxilium College,Gandhinagar, vellore in association with Regional joint directorate of collegiate education organised awareness rally on 44th chess olympiade to be held at Chennai.This event was presided by collector Thiru.Kumaravel pandiyan ,MLA of vellore, Mayor and co-ordinator of NCC.
The Department of Business Administration in association with MARC - Connect to Convert, organized a Financial Awareness Programme on “Promoting Financial Literacy Among Young Women” on 13.05.2022 at 10.30 am. The programme was facilitated by Audacious Dreams Foundation. The event commenced with a prayer followed by lighting the ceremonial lamp by the chief guest. Mr. Janarthanan Sundaram, the Chief Visionary Officer of MARC. Dr. Beulah Suresh, Head and Assistant Professor of the Department of Business Administration welcomed the gathering. The Principal Dr.(Sr.) Jaya Santhi R. during her address stressed on the need and importance of financial empowerment of young women. The Department of Business Administration and Audacious Dreams Foundation are associated for 8 years where both the parties signed a MoU in the year 2014. During the mega event the MoU was renewed for another five years. The signatory authorities signed the MoU and exchanged copies with each other.Mr Dinesh Gajendran, Catalyst and Executive Director of Audacious introduced the Chief Guest and had a lively interaction with the students. The Chief Guest Mr.Janarthanan Sundaram during his briefings inculcated in the minds of the students on being financially independent and also explained the how MARC is approaching with its goals. Three CSR initiatives were launched during the programme namely VIP ( Volunteer - Innovate-Participate), Youth Fellowship Programme and G17. The above programmes were launched by the Chief Guest. Students from Department of Business Administration and Commerce were the beneficiaries of the programme.
The Career Guidance and Placement Cell organized a Mega Job Fair on 24.05.2022. The Mega Campus Drive was inaugurated by Secretary Rev Sr Alice K.T.Principal Dr Sr Jaya Santhi, Vice Principals Sr Sumathy (Shift I) and Dr Sr Amala Valarmathy (Shift II). 25 Companies and 5 Schools participated in the job fair. 300 students from final year under graduation and post graduation took part in the interview conducted by various institutions. The Drive was conducted from 10.00 a.m to 5.00 p.m. The Programme was coordinated by Dr S Auxilia Antony and Dr N Sathya along with the team members. The students were encouraged and motivated to participate in the interviews conducted by various institutions. Majority of the students were selected and few were under selection process.

Historical pageant show as an History Association Activity.The students enacted
the various Historical personalities who made an impact in the freedom struggle
of India.The famous historical figures like Rani Lakshmibai,Maruthu
Brothers.Kannaki,Veerapandia Kattabomman,Bharathiyar, Tirupur Kumaran.Nethaji
Subash Chandra Bose and Annie Besant. Through their acting ,the patriotic
feelings were infused amidst the
students
It is a mandate
requirement for the MBA students to undertake industrial visits to gain insight
about the functioning and work culture of industries. This academic year,
thirty eight II MBA students were
accompanied by 5 MBA faculties to Hyderabad. The trip began on 31.03.22 at 6.30
pm, and on 01.04.2022; the students were
taken to Kwality Photonics at Hyderabad to learn the process and functioning of
the manufacturing set up the India’s pioneer in LED production, Kwality
Photonics also has the highest market share in domestic sales and is reckoned
as a price leader .Then the students
were taken to Birla Science Centre where the students viewed the science,
archaeological exhibits and planetarium. After the visit the students were
taken to Birla Mandir temple. And the day ended with a boat trip at Lumbini
Park. On 02.04.22 the group went to Golconda Fort. The fort contains the ruins
of palaces, mosques and a hill top pavilion which rises about 130 metres and
gave a bird’s eye view of other building. The fort visit was followed by a visit
to the Ice Park which helped to beat the summer heat. In the evening the
students were taken to Charminar a monument located in Hyderabad which is
listed among the recognised structure in India and officially incorporated as
the Emblem of Telangana the second day ended with shopping at Charminar. On
03.04.2022, there was a visit made to Ramoji film city, India’s only thematic
destination with cine magic certificate as the world’s largest film studio
complex by Guinness World Records. The journey back to home town began on
03.04.2022 in the evening post dinner and the team reached Vellore at 11.00am
on 04.04.2022.
Department of Business Administration, Auxilium College (Autonomous), Vellore in collaboration with Nandri Foundation, Thiruvanamalai District organised International Women's Day programme on the UN theme "Gender Equality Today For A Sustainable Tomorrow". The programme began with the invocation of God's blessings and the lighting of the ceremonial lamp. Ms. Preethi Prabhakaran, Assistant Professor, Department of Business Administration welcomed the gathering. Dr.Sr.Jaya Santhi R, Principal, Auxilium College(Autonomous) felicitated and addressed the august gathering. Mr. Joseph Abraham, Director, Nandri Foundation was the chief guest. He addressed, why it is important to empower women. In commemoration of the silver jubilee celebrations of the Business Administration department, the logo was launched. Dr. Beulah Suresh, Head, Department of Business Administration motivated and inspired the audience on the role of women and how empowered women can be elements of social transformation in today's society. The Department honoured Ms. V Rukmani Priyadharshini , Superintendent , Central Prison , Vellore with the Fempowerment Award for the contribution of her service in Prison Administration. During this programme, the Youth Wing of All India Women's Congress was installed on the campus. Women from the Nandri Foundation and parents of the Auxilium students joined in the celebration and actively participated in the games conducted during the celebration. Dr.Renuga Devi, Assistant Professor proposed the vote of thanks.
The Journalism Club and the Theatre Club organised an online lecture on “Tracing the Footprints of a Sleuth: on a Journey with Satyajit Ray's Feluda” to mark the Birth Centenary of the famous Indian Film Maker, Writer and Illustrator Satyajit Ray. The lecture was given by Dr. Mukulika Dattagupta, (Fulbright-Nehru Scholar), Associate Professor, Department of English Language and Literature, School of Liberal Arts and Culture Studies, Adamas University, Barasat, West Bengal. The lecture was focussed on Satyajit Ray’s skill as a writer of detective novelist and a master creator of interesting characters.
