ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

 

    The Programme B. Com (Banking & Insurance) was introduced in the academic year 2016-2017. This strives to provide an intellectual environment in highly Competitive Banking and Insurance sectors through its integrated quality education. It provides operational exposure in the field of banking and insurance through internship, project and assignments. The syllabi of each course are designed to make the students understand the dynamics of banks, insurance in a better way. It also aims to inculcate training and practical approach among the students by using modern technologies.

FACULTY PROFILE

Dr. R. Gayathiri is a distinguished educational professional with a rich experience of 17 years in the field of teaching. She is currently serving as the Head i/c and Assistant Professor at Auxilium College (Autonomous) in Vellore, where she leads the Department of Commerce, specializing in Banking & Insurance. With a profound passion for academic excellence and dedication to the development of the institution, She aims to inspire and guide students to achieve both academic and personal success. She is a multifaceted individual with a robust educational background, a passion for teaching, and a commitment to the holistic development of students and institutions.

 
 

Ms. Aswini N is an Assistant Professor with five years of teaching experience in the Department of Commerce (Banking and Insurance). She is deeply committed to fostering a culture of encouragement and support within the student community. In her role as an educator, she plays a vital role in motivating and inspiring students to reach their full potential. She also has been actively involved in extracurricular and community activities. She served as the Team Coordinator for the India – Malaysia Youth Exchange Programme in 2019, organized by the Audacious Dream Foundation. Furthermore, she has contributed to academic research by publishing and presenting papers in various journals and conferences.

 
 

Dr. Kalpana K. currently serves as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Commerce (Banking and Insurance), Auxilium college, Vellore. She has 3 years of teaching experience. She completed her B.Com. M.Com. at Meenakshi College for women, Kodambakkam. M.Phil. from Auxilium College, Vellore. She obtained her Ph.D in the year 2018 from VIT University, Vellore. Her research interests is in marketing areas. She has published papers in international journals and conferences.

 
 

Ms. Kaviya V. currently serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Commerce (Banking and Insurance) at Auxilium College (Autonomous), Vellore. She completed her Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Kingston Engineering College, Vellore Her areas of specialization includes human resource and finance and she completed her under graduate in Auxilium college vellore. Her research interests lie in the fields of banking, finance, and workplace culture. She is committed to fostering academic excellence and developing students’ analytical and professional skills in the field of commerce.
