Blood Donors
Blood DonorsThe Blood Donors Club was formally inaugurated in the year 2000. The members of the Club are regular donors of blood to the Christian Medical College Hospital, Vellore, Government Pentland Hospital, Vellore and ‘Uthavum Karangal’, a voluntary organization. The Club maintains a record of the blood groups of the members.
In collaboration with NSS, regular Blood Donation Camps are held in the College. Besides the donation of blood during the camps, the members donate blood in times of emergency.
Consumer Awareness
Consumer AwarenessThe Consumer Club was inaugurated in the College in the year 2003-2004. The main objective of the Club is to create awareness among the College students. Their activities aim at making the consumers become aware of their rights and duties and be on guard against all types of exploitations. The workshops, discussions, exhibitions and seminars on various practical applications of the Consumer Protection Act keep the student community well informed.
Enviro
EnviroThe Enviro Club started in the year 1991. True to their motto: “Let’s preserve our Planet”, the Enviro Club members aim at popularizing environmental issues in the campus. Its objectives are: to create awareness among the students regarding environmental pollution, to enlighten them about the importance of protection and conservation of our environment, to learn and teach simple remedial measures that will reduce the environmental pollution and to inculcate an eco-friendly attitude.
The students organize as well as participate in various seminars, workshops, and competitions on various environmental issues. The maintenance of the College Herbal Garden and planting of trees every year in the College campus and around are the cherished activities of the members. Programmes like Anti-Plastic Campaign, Zero Waste Management are the cherished projects of the club for implementation in the campus.
Rangers
Rangers The Rangers Movement started in the College in the year 2001. The Rangers are trained for helpful, healthy and constructive citizenship through flexible, simple and stimulating programmes. Besides the regular training programmes, the Rangers are offered training in personality development and leadership. The Rangers attend regular training camps at District, State and National levels. They also engage themselves in reach out programmes such as coaching classes, assisting Traffic Police, Road Safety Week, visit to hospitals and Home for the Aged and Rehabilitation Centres. True to the purpose of their Movement, Rangers achieve their physical, intellectual and spiritual potentials as individuals, as responsible citizens and as members of the local, national and international communities. They undertake various community development projects individually and collectively.
Rotaract
RotaractThe Rotaract Club was initiated in the College in the year 1995. The Club members keep identifying the needs of many service organizations in the town and provide their requirements with the active involvement of the Rotary Club of Vellore Fort. They are involved in service activities such as tree planting, coaching poor children, conducting medical camps and visiting and assisting the under privileged. The motto of the Rotaract Club is ‘Service Above Self’.
Youth Red Cross
Youth Red CrossThe Youth Red Cross wing of Auxilium College was started in the academic year 2000-2001. Prevention of gas and fire accidents, First Aid skills, life saving know how, Road Safety Measures, Personal Hygiene, Health and Hygiene, Yoga for holistic living and General Etiquette are some of the aspects of the regular training given to the members. They rise to every situation that calls for care, concern and compassion and generously dedicate their time, talent and energy for the cause of the underprivileged and those who suffer.
