NATIONAL CONFERENCE ON CONSERVE AND CO-EXIST (NCCC) 7TH AND 8TH DECEMBER, 2017.
TWO days National Conference on “Conserve and Co –Exist” (NCCC17) was organized by PG and Research Department of Zoology Auxilium College(Autonomous)Katpadi, Vellore on 7th and 8th December,2017 .
Dr.K. Murugan Vice – Chancellor, Thiruvalluvalluvar University, Vellore,delivered the Presidential Address Dr. Akshaya Panigrahi,Principal Scientist,ICAR,CIBA,Chennai, gave the Inaugural Address.Dr.Ernest David,Professor & Head, Department of Biotechnology,Thiruvalluvar University, Vellore,gave thekeynote Address. Dr .Sultan Ahmed Ismail, Director Eco science Research Foundation Chennai graced the occasion.Inaugural Address Rev.Sr.Amalorpavam, Secretary and Dr.(Sr.) A.Mary Josephine Rani, Principal & Head , PG & Research Department of Zoology,offered felicitation.Resource talk was given by Dr. Sultan Ahmed Ismail director, Eco science Research Foundation ,Chennai On the topic “For Earth’s Sake”., Dr.V.Deepak Samuel Scientist D, Marine Ecologist, National center for Sustainable coastal Management ,Ministry of Environment, Forest& Climate Change,Govt.of India ,Chennai. on the topic “NOT ALONE: The Host and Symbiont Relationships”.Dr.V.Salom Gnana Thanga, Associate Professor, Department of Environmental Sciences,University of Kerela,Thiruvanthapuram, Kerela. on the topic “Bioremediation of Parasites:Conserving our Agricultural Ecosystem”. Valedictory Address was given by Dr.A.R.Thirunavkkarasu, Chairman, Fisheries Technocraft Forum, Chennai,Former Head of Fish culture division,CIBA,Chennai.Special Lecture on Sustainable Development was given by Kishva Ambigapathy Chairperson, Commonwealth Youth Council,UK. And Dhanesh Basil Director –YouthAffairs, Royal Commonwealth Socity, Malaysia.Advisory Member –British High Commission,Malaysia.
The conference aimed to create awareness among the students on Conservation,Protection sustainable development and coexistence
Our planet is under excruciating stress by the actions of human and seeks more holistic treatment through sustainable development. Conservation is the crucial action that has to be taken by every individual to amend the wrongs committed by humans; it can be achieved through alternative technologies, recycling and reduction in the waste.
