From the Principals Desk The academic year 2008-2009 has gone swiftly. Before we could stand and stare the current year has dawned on us with its challenges and possibilities. We cant move forward without reflecting on what has gone by. Of course each of us in the Institution can say for sure that we have worked with intensity, passion and commitment. Our commitment had been coupled with courage and creativity. Of course our courage for speaking the truth was balanced with striking kindness too. We are happy that we have given our very best and wasted no time. We did not stop to worry about unhealthy attitudes and the mediocre work culture of a few. We appreciated the good will of everybody and the occasional failings do not count very much. As an Institution we have tremendous capacity for hard work and dedication. The spirit that moves us forward is not tainted with selfishness or mere ambition. It is the Holy Spirit that energizes our days to make them fruitful. Our work is not merely to educate. We want our young people to be wise and holy. We are anxious to see whether our efforts have borne fruit. Besides their academic qualifications we want to see them grow into mature human persons. Our young people should have healthy self acceptance and a loving relationship with the Creator, and the creation that is around them. We want to see them grow into strong individuals, strong in mind and heart not easily intimidated by failures and challenges. We want them to be capable of mature, balanced and healthy relationships. Our education should enable them to be capable of going beyond themselves to the less privileged of the society. They should leave the portals of Auxilium capable of standing up for what is right and good, besides being competent and efficient. They should become responsible and capable of maintaining a human friendly environment. Besides, they need to grow up to be happy individuals capable of creating harmony and joy. Above all these things we want our young people to be capable of love which is tender hearted, compassionate and has no discrimination. These great expectations demand that we educators are capable of all these things first in order to impart them to our young people with our lives. This is the greatest challenge we face as an educating community. If our commitment is high and ideals and actions sincere, energy from above will fill our college and make it a sacred space where knowledge and virtue are sown and reaped abundantly. At the beginning of the new academic year we stand as humble instruments in the hands of god with a great sense of gratitude for all what we were able to make fruitful as a family of educators. May the coming days and months awaiting the re-accreditation process be spent with ease and grace. May we grow and expand through the work we do and the lives we lead.
