India – Malaysia Youth Exchange Programme – 2018

Indian delegates visited Malaysia to participate in the India Malaysia youth exchange programme 2018 organized by the Perak state youth council, Perak state government of Malaysia, and the Common wealth youth centre for innovation leadership in association with Audacious Dream Foundation – India with the theme of “Global understanding for sustainable development” from 9th to 17th March held at Perak and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. 14 students delegates from Auxilium College were lead by Dr.S.Auxilia Antony, Head, Department of Commerce, Shift II the co ordinator of the program along with Audacious Dream Foundation Head and Catalysist Mr. Dinesh Gajendran.
It was a great 8 days knowledge transfer and experiential learning process for the Indian and Malaysian delegates. The visit comprises of engagements with the Indigenous Community, FELDA settlers, Madrasah Sultan Idris, Perak State Assembly House, Malaysian Parliament Batu Caves, Historical Twin Towers and many more.

On the first day our delegates had the privilege to interact with the Indian National Congress Party President Mr. Rahul Gandhi. It was a wonderful opportunity for us to meet the politically powerful personality from the Nehru’s family.
Our Indian delegates visited the FELDA settlers, Dato AB GHANI MOHD ALI, Director General presented the “FELDA Corporate” through a brief power point presentation.
FELDA is an economic driver which generates high income to the settlers and surrounding area, the improvement and well being of the settlers by providing modern facilities and infrastructures.
Initial objectives of the FELDA settlers are to provide land for landless, eradicate poverty and uplift socio-economic status of settlers, develop a physical productive under prosperous settlers community. After the presentation the delegates had an interaction with the Director General.
India-Malaysia Youth delegates visited Tanjung Maulim District office for an interaction session on district administration and also had a presentation on Malaysia Youth City and Common wealth Youth City.
Indian delegates along with the MLA and executive council members of Perak state participated in the common wealth day charity drive and volunteering at the Indigenous Community in Perak State Malaysia.
Our delegates exchanged their knowledge and created awareness on various social issues through an art form and also our volunteers involved in teaching in one of the world’s oldest indigenous community in Malaysia.
Another milestone for our delegates had a conversation with the Honorable Thangeswari , the first women speaker of Perak State Assembly Malaysia. It was a proud moment that our Indian delegates received the honor of sharing in the chairs of Chief Minister, Opposition leader and other Ministers place. We had an hour of Model Youth Parliamentary Assembly Session with the honorable speaker. It was a golden moment for all of our Indian delegates.
Reception was hosted by Rannival academy of higher learning at Maharaja’s Hotel, IPO, Perak, Malaysia. Dr. Parameswarn Pillai, Mrs. Nalini Varran and Dr. Kuganathan Pillai inspired and motivated our delegates mind in a great deal. It was an absolute delight meeting with them.
An interaction with Mr. Rama, the special officer of the Indian country to Honourable Datin Mastura, the member of parliament of Kaula Kangsar, the Royal Town of Perak, Malaysia.
Delegates visited the Kaula Kangsar Museum and visited Labu Sayang which is the official symbol of Perak state, state government Malaysia. Delegates also had an opportunity to visit the pottery making industry and purchased momentous for their self use.
Our Indian delegates had an amazing interaction with Honorable SK. Devamani, Deputy Minister of Policy Planning, Government of Malaysia. They had a chance to attend the parliament session for an hour and witnessed the session.
It was a rarest opportunity to meet the honorable Singapore High Commissioner of Malaysia – his excellencey Mr. Gopala Menon.
300 steps to reach to get the dharsan of Lord Muruga, the Batu Caves. The delegates had an spiritual blessings from Lord Muruga.
After the dharsan the delegates had an interaction with Education Minister Honourable Mr. Kamalanathan about the Malaysian education structure, free education and their examination pattern which was followed by a query session by the delegates.
Certificate was distributed by the Educational Minister. He also hosted a lunch at Sri Pacific International Hotel at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Finally the delegates visited puthra jaya where all foreign officiers/embassy were situated. After the visit, they moved to the Airport to end up the journey towards knowledge transfer and learning process and to carry the gained experience to our Indian Nation and build up a good team at Auxilium College.
