Staff and students should bear the above in mind while making use of library books. The Central Library which has been built to the International Standards. The library is computerized and is a digital library with RFID (Radio Frequency Identification), well protected with fire alarms and RFID security gate. Searching, issuing and returning of books are done through computers. The students are advised to keep their bar-coded identity card (ID) safely and not lend their ID for borrowing books.RFID
All the books are fixed with RFID tags in the library. If any book is taken out without issuing, we have RFID security system which will give an alarm. RFID security system will also keep a record of all the books that has gone out without being issued. At the circulation counter, with RFID being enabled it become very easy and much faster for processing the transactions. The book will be issued or returned by just placing them on staff station. The RFID staff station is capable of reading multiple items at a time.
Library timing Monday to Friday : 8.00 a.m. to – 6.30 p.m. Saturday : 9.30 a.m.– 1.00 p.m.
Monday through Friday : 10.30 a.m. – 4.00 p.m.
