In commemoration of Constitution Day, a webinar was organized by the Department of History and Department of Sociology entitled “Dr. Ambedkar: An architect of Indian Constitution” through Google meet on 30th November 2020. The resource person was Rev. Fr. Dr. Irudhayaraj CMF, Assistant professor, Department of philosophy, Arul Anandar College (Autonomous), Karumathur, Madurai. He explained about early struggles faced by Dr.B.R.Ambedkar and caste discrimination in India. He detailed the cruelty of untouchability and difference in the educational system based on caste. He also explained the present situation of women and their rights in India. He elaborated on the fundamental rights of the citizens and ended his session.
