A Three-Day Online Faculty Development Program on “Enhancing Professional Skills in Information Technology” was organized by the Department of Computer Science and Applications, Auxilium College (Autonomous), Vellore from 6th – 8th May 2020 coordinated by Dr. S. Lavanya, Head, PG Department of Computer Science . The Resource person for the first session was Ms. A. R. Charulatha., Assistant Professor, Stella Maris College, Chennai. She explained about the Integration of ICT in Education. It included various topics on engaging students in classroom activities, necessity of website creation and explanation on online platforms for game-based teaching. The next day session was taken over by Mr. Surya Prakash, Technology Associate-HPC, Locus Entreprise Solutions, Bangalore. He explained about High performance Computing, components, usage and integration of HPC in AI. The participants were given Hands-on training on AWS creation and maintenance.The final day session, was handled by Mr. K. R. Arun, Assistant Professor, VIT University, Vellore. He elaborated on the Aspects of Soft Computing Paradigms and Algorithms. He also briefed on various computing techniques, their importance and characteristics. Around 55 faculty members from various colleges participated actively. Assessment test was conducted and feedback was collected from the faculty members.
