Dept of BBA celebrated “Pongal” at Nambikai Illam with 50 children’s who are the inmates.  The students along with the help of staff members prepared pongal in a Traditional manner.  The children have also helped us and actively took part in preparing pongal.  Once it is ready, they shouted “Pongalo Pongal” and Pongal was distributed to all in small cups.

The Students played various songs and made children to dance and sing along with them.  Everyone participated enthusiastically showcased their talents. Then the students conducted games for the children’s and the winners were awarded with small gifts.

In the afternoon executive lunch was served to the children’s and they said it was tasty and nice.  Each children’s was given a “Laddu”.  We made the children to sing Songs and prayers both in Tamil and English which they readily accepted.

At the end Chocolates, sugarcane, Banana, Stationary and Smiley batches was distributed to all the students.  We took many photos with the small children’s, made them Good bye with the promise of coming again and meeting them all.  This pongal was really memorable as we celebrated as a huge family.
